Kayte turns 16!

At 16, Kayte has a very busy life. We had a meet on her actual birthday, so she went to school and ran and worked hard, and that was a realistic welcome to the life of a grown-up girl! But, we did start with presents, and early morning breakfast with her dad :)

...and we may have skipped first period so we could go take some pics in the arboretum on that glorious October morning.

Burgers at Tapped after the meet!

I can't believe our littlest Kayte Diane is already 16! I have to remind myself almost daily that she is almost a grown up and to let her be :)
We are so proud of her hard-working, determined, and tenacious self. She says yes to everything and then goes at it full speed. She is always the last one to turn the light out at night and often the first one up. She is super responsible, and trustworthy and has a good heart. We are thankful for her spirit and her cheerfulness, especially in hard times. When the going gets tough, Kayte shines the most.
We love her so much.
