Winner Winner, Jamm's for Dinner

Last week was the LAX tournament and the wrap-up of the season!  We were super-pumped.  Ben had a preliminary game on Thursday and it was a crushing loss, but we got up on Saturday ready to win!  Ben had a consolation game, and Will had a championship game, so we started our day with a little Queen.
Ben's team walked away from the field with a 6-1 win, and Will with a hard-fought 5-2W.  This was Will's first trophy since his first year at age 6, and I'm pretty sure I wanted it more than he did, if that was possible :)  And the upside to winning a consolation game:  you might be third place, but at least you get to end the season with a win.  And at 6, I think that might be all that matters :)
Little Ben:

The victors!  :)

Will's team was pretty much awesome.  There is so much talent on that team, I cannot wait to match it with the talent on their opposing team when they get to junior high....I'm pretty sure it's gonna be epic.

My girls always entertain themselves by selling lemonade and brownies.  Since we moved to the country, it is their one opportunity at this little bit of childhood Americana, and they never miss a game.

To the victors go the spoils.  So proud of my little athletes!!

No?
Well, this one can't wait.

Letters from Camp.

Opened in haste.
I miss her soooooo much!

Whipping them into shape :)

So, yes, it's midsummer already, and we are just now getting our act together.  Joe and I have been planning on getting the kids on some kind of summer schedule so as not to waste away these summer months with just, you know...staring at each other.  Much of our summer mornings have been spent that way.
Literally.  I mean actually staring at each other.  Literally.
So here is our cure:
Ok, so I'm a tad bit proud to show off my little clipboards.  And I used my laminator for the first time ever!  I knew I was gonna love that thing.  So voila!  A dry-erase check list that would make Monica Gellar proud.  So much fun for me.  Haha!

Every morning starts with a little Wall Sit.  Somehow I forgot to put Burpees on the list.  And since the list is laminated and all, I guess they just got lucky.   There's so much to learn!

In other news, I just put in a huuuge order for school uniforms. Where does the time go??!

Throwback Thursday

My sweet Kayte is off at camp this week, and we miss her very much.
So in her honor, this pic, as a little preschooler.  So precious.

Father's Day!

Our favorite guy!

The kids were at the ocean leading up to Joe's big day, so I called them to get gift ideas for Joe and all four of them had very specific ideas for what they wanted to give their dad.  There was no hem-ing or ha-ing.
Ben:  Ninjago legos.  Of course.
Kayte & Sara:  The American Girl Dad & Me book.  (This one is quite clever, and has lots of dad-daughter activities.  Highly recommend.)  I was thrilled to find the last copy at Hastings the day before Father's Day!
Will:  Milk Duds.  Definitely.
I surprised him with delivery of his new-to-him truck, licensed, registered, and insured!  We didn't think we'd get it in time but we did!  And weren't we glad!  The weather was kind of gloomy that Sunday, so we piled the bikes (and a kid) into the back of the truck and went down to the trail for a bike ride.  We have never ever done that as a family and it was so fun!!  There are benefits, too, to letting our kids grow up a little :)
Happy Father's Day, Joe.  You are the best.  I love you :)

End of the Year Violin Recital

Kayte and Will and Sara had a recital to celebrate all of their accomplishments from the last year...it was so fun to watch them, and I cannot believe they are becoming little violinists!  So fun!
Waiting to get started :)

Pretty Sara :)

Last DAY of SCHOOL! ...and kindergarten grad :)

My little cuties, headed out the door!

Ben, on graduation day.  I recently read a Matt Walsh blogpost about how ridiculous graduations are, unless they are for at least high school.  And while I like to agree with the guy about a lot of the things he spouts off about, I'd like to point out that he has never attended one of my mom's kindergarten graduations.  It was sweet and inspiring and challenging, and it has made me cry every year for the past decade, Casebolt kid or not.
So bring on the Pomp!

Oh yes, I love cheesy graduation cakes!!

Cutest little kindergartener in the world!

Seriously, can you beat this?  :)

Celebrating with Hudson :)

Such a handsome pair!
Congrats Ben!  I cannot believe you are a first grader!!!

Greek Goddesses

I love this pic of my beautiful Kayte.  They had one final Greek play at the end of the year!

Sara's Birthday Pics

My little Sara turned 8!  She got up early to have breakfast with her Dad, and then it was presents first!!

Ahhh...Frozen Dolls.  A dream come true!

Twinkies for lunch at school....

...and then a Barbie cake, of course.  Heehee!

We wanted to try Maialina for dinner because it was a beautiful evening and Sara is my best lover of all kinds of food!  But they were closed....so we headed to Wingers and had tons of popcorn instead :)

Barbie cake and Frozen with her cousins :)
Love this girl!

Easter pics :) Just pretend it's still April.

Celebrated Easter with an early brunch at the Casebolt home.

My favorite people!

This one kills me...they are growing up so much!!

Out to Grandma's for lunch and Easter hunting...

 The grands...

Haha, I'm pretty sure only three people were paying attention!

This one is getting so tall!!

The required Bunny Cake.  This has been going for two generations!

Back to Grandma Annie's for more egg hunting and a treasure hunt!

It was a beautiful spring day! :)
