Father's Day!

Another awesome day with my favorite guy!  It was going to be the first hot Father's Day in like, 4 years, and so Joe decided that he'd like to take all the kids out on the boat for the day.  It was our first venture out for the year, and it took us some time to get that old boat gussied up for its season debut.  It was beautiful and the river was mercifully empty and we managed to find a little glass out there for the kids.  So much fun to just be out on the water!  Loved it!

This little rocket is in its last days, I fear...It has carried us many adventurous miles!

Happy Father's Day to my amazing husband.  I just cannot say enough how blessed we are to be all yours.  I thank God for you every day.
Love!

A day on the town.

So I took my little style-maven up to Spokane with me on some errands.  When I grow up I want to be just like her:

We had a little lunch and then we went to pick up the girls from camp..... It wasn't very long before they all conked out.

Gotta love summertime.

ICK!!

Not in my house.  NO way!

Laird Park!

We spent a very lazy Friday at Laird Park with the Whitlings.  It is hard to believe, now that it doesn't dip below 90 high for the next 10 days, but this day was a little bit breezy and it took us awhile to warm up.....but then it was "all in"!

Gearing up.

This day was so much fun!!  We had Will's Hoopfest team over to design their t-shirts.  They had this plan from the very beginning.  A $3 muscle tee and a pack of Sharpies and they went to town.  I thought they'd whip these things out in 10 minutes but once they got started they didn't know where to stop!  I finally had to set a timer just so they'd reach a finish line.  They were pretty stoked about the final product.

We spent many days at the HIRC getting ready for the big day.  I loved watching them play...already they are so very good!

The final touch: a Mohawk.  All the guys on the team did it, and with a little convincing, Will hopped on board.  I thought they looked so cool!! :)

My beautiful set of bookends.

Seaside!!

Here we are again.  My annual Seaside Vacation Album.  This year is slightly different as the sun was shining brightly the entire week!  At home, it was 90+ degrees.  In Seaside, a balmy low 60s.  Which was just perfect!  We had the usual fun with all the traditional highlights...it was so relaxing!!  We just soaked up every minute!

Cartwheels!

Frisbee!

We had the oceanview king bedroom that week.  It was....heaven!

 Family pic!!

Dave took us out to a super-nice seafood dinner...so Joe played with the toys :)

Sara found a stuffed dog that looks exactly like Piper!  So cute!

The first day we were there, a passel of highschool guys came down with shovels and dug out this monstrous whole.  And in doing so, provided hours of entertainment for the kids all week long!

Ann ended up with an extra house that week, so she invited the Driskills to come stay.  We were thrilled to have more cousins along, and show them all the Seaside highlights!

Gearing up for an epic water balloon battle!  Somehow I managed to capture only video of that unforgettable event.  But I assure you it was on a very grand scale!  Ben was the only fighter that escaped without injury...which doesn't surprise me!  That kid is sniper material.

Always lots of good food on the deck!
Joe had to head to Portland that night for a business trip, so we missed him on our last full day there.  But it was a blessing because it scored us all a couple of extra days there in the end....

The art contest!!  Sara walked away with the prize from both categories.  She was thrilled!!  She worked all week on her entries and has incredible skill.

The hosts.

Boys were here.

Ann's birthday...what a fantastic place to celebrate it!

Goodbye for now!  See you next year!
