Lunch Break.

So sometimes the kids pop home over their very brief lunch break to grab some food. Will is the most frequent visitor...did I mention he is 6'2". And eats all the time?
Anyway, yesterday as he was headed out the door, he came back to grab a quick hug.
"I need a hug." he said. "It would be a wasted trip if I didn't at least get a hug."
So. Pretty much my year was made.
Love that kid.

A little XC....

Wall sits.

First frost. Soo cold.

JH team stretching it out.

Pumpkin everything.

The girls had Harper over on Sunday so they could whip up some fall pumpkin whoopee pies. They did not last long. So delicious!!

Will at Connell

So we had an injury on the varsity team, which allowed Will his first shot at a varsity race. And in classic mom style, I didn't manage a quality pic of it. But he ran it and killed it. And that's all that really matters.
So proud of him. He has been getting so good this season!
OOOO, I found more shots.
Some of Kayte...thankful for other people catching my kids in action.

Oh my goodness, this day was SO COLD!! It was supposed to rain, so I'm thankful we missed that, but the wind was brain-freeze cold. SO COLD!

More football.

Something about watching Jack play football makes my eyes blurry. I love it so much.

Fall is for advenure.

Managed to escape with some friends on a glorious fall day for a hike and lunch at the Palouse Caboose. Kelly and Sarah joined us for the best pork tacos, and Kelly managed an actual sunburn. In September! Best day.

More BRC

Such a blessing to this fam.

Fall is for steelhead.

The steelhead situation is pretty poor this year, and yet the guys managed some success. Will catching fish like a boss.
Season ended September 29 this year on account of the low return numbers. So sad :(

Back to Silverwood.

The grandparents took the kids to Silverwood...and sent us some pretty professional shots of the day!

I think this sums up the day perfectly.

Nike Meet

This meet was epic and fast with loads of PRs to go around. Kayte and Will both managed a PR!

First home football game EVER!

Moose Creek

Sadly, we couldn't fit the Moose Creek meet into the HS schedule this year (it is our favorite!), but the JH got to go. Perfect day for a run.

It's been a great season!
Success!!

One. long. week.

Joe had another whirlwind work trip, this time across the eastside of America. We spent the week eyeball-deep in projects and spent a bit of that time in drive-thrus. This day, Ben wanted to know if Joe was in the left hand or the right hand of Michigan.
It was the left. For a couple of hours.

Truth.

Thankful for the bible challenge and how it opens my eyes to these truths.

Ethereal.

Seaport

So, this was pretty cool. The first meet that all four of my people competed in at once. Such a fun, crazy day. Love this sport.

Ben's cute little baby face.

Sara earned 7th place and a big PR.

...and Kayte in 5th. She is having a stellar year!

The best of days.

The FAIR!!

It's the most wonderful time of year: September! Ben worked very hard on his lego creation, including a poem to narrate the scene.

They rewarded him with a big purple Best in Class ribbon, that also earned him $10 and a bulldozer lego that was $100 on AMAZON! I'd say that was a win-win.

Spent a little time in the beer garden after working the Logos booth, and visiting all the barns and fair entries.

Meanwhile, Kayte was here with friends and it brought so many awesome memories of being a teen in this awesome town.
