Silverwood!

Ben earned a free ticket to Silverwood through a reading program this year. (Kind of a dramatic moment at the end there, cause he forgot to bring in his paper, and Joe and I were out of town and there was a blizzard, so Kelly had to bring him to the driveway and he hiked down to the house to get it in a couple feet of snow. So we were definitely going to have to use that ticket.)
Jemma and Henry also earned tickets, so we had buddies to go with us.
We were very eager and waited at the end of the driveway for Kelly and the kids to pick us up!

Jemma and Henry had never been, and Ben's been tons, so he had a plan for the whole day, down to where we would eat lunch, and they were happy to let him take charge.

First stop.

It was a super-busy day and we spent an hour in most of the lines.

Jemma went with me on Tremors, which is my favorite ride, and she was pretty freaked out about it, but ended up loving it, of course.

So so so fun to spend the day with this kid.

Kelly and I opted out of the super-soaker ride. Wet denim? That's a hard no.

Totally soaked.

Then we headed over to Boulder Beach, which we'd never done before. The place was absolutely insane. But the kids had some fun, and Kelly and I found a place to buy a cocktail, so it was a win.

Such a fun, unforgettable day.
