The best conversations happen in the car. So, I guess it's a good thing we spend so much time in it :)
Ben: Mom, are hobbits just children?
Me, in my infinite wisdom of all things Tolkien: Uh, no. Hobbits are just little men with big feet.
Sara: But Ben, hobbits aren't real, they're just make-believe.
Ben, worried: Mom! Aren't hobbits real??!
Me: I don't know....I've never actually seen a hobbit. But the universe is a very big place, and I haven't been everywhere and seen everything. So, I just can't say for sure.
Ben, searching for the most magical place imaginable: Well....have you been to Rhode Island?
Ahhh...yes, the elusive Island of Rhode....
