One September Saturday, we all got up a little early. The boys (all three of them!) left at 4:30 am to get down to the river and get a line in. We girls slept in another hour or two, and then headed off to the river to get ready for Kayte's second cross-country meet of the season. We were onsite by 8 am. The boys headed over just in time to see the start. Kayte ran a hard, dusty, hot, and lonely run around the Chief Timothy island. The meet was much much bigger than the last one, but she finished strong.
Ava's first meet!
Waiting to start....
Post race.
We all headed home from there and all six of us went straight to bed. Will's football game was that afternoon and the whole family was running several hours short on sleep. Sleep before food!
Headed to Pullman for a sunny afternoon of some football! Will talked to his coach about working his way on up the bench to get some real play time. All his hard work paid off! It was so fun to see him get in on some real plays! I was so proud of him, but mostly excited to see him work so hard for something that he really loves!
A friend gave me tickets to the Coug game that night, and so we grabbed some burgers on our way off the field, rounded up some car blankets, sent three of the kiddoes with my mom to have dinner, and headed to the game with Will and Jack. Will had never been to a live football game that he wasn't actually playing in (who knew?) and it was a perfect night for it!
Our weekends are getting a little nuts, but we are having so much fun!!
