It's been a pretty great year for basketball. Joe's league ended the first half the season with a 4-1 record which made them the top of their league (which was great because the second half was rocked with travel and injury). But it was nice to know they are still on top of their game.
Kayte has been killing it on defense and her shots are dropping, which gave her loads of time on JV and increasing time on varsity, which has been such a fun way to face the end of the season.
Will has been twice-nominated for the Prep Athlete of the Week by the Lewiston Tribune (twice that we know of...no one ever calls us or anything haha, so it's all word of mouth) and he is almost always top-scorer and still manages to rally loads of assists and rebounds. Plus, he's finally hit 6'2 1/2" which prompted one of his opponents to say, "Whoa, you've grown a TON. I remember you from summer league". Going into districts 2nd in the league with a sophomore-heavy line-up is pretty exciting.
Sara has been bombing and dribbling like a super-star. Her team is often leading by 30+ points at the end of a game and forced to slow down on the breakaways which are her favorite. She got to play one weekend on an AAU team and met and defeated a press for the first time. It was pretty stellar to watch.
Ben also got a weekend in AAU, and his team even managed to walk away with a win. The kid still impresses us with his natural skills and is a solid dribbler with tons of potential on the court.
Loads of bleacher time for the fam.
Will has been working on his play-by-play announcing and that's always a good time :)
A fierce competitor
Jack gets to practice with the team and sit on the bench during games :)
