How many years have we been doing this? Maybe 7 or 8. But it is the highlight of our Christmas season. We drop the kids at Kelly's and head to Spokane for some Christmas shopping and really just a 48 hour date. Lately we've been staying downtown and I love that cause we just walk everywhere. It was a beautiful weekend, even though the predicted snow never arrived. We did a little shopping we had an early happy hour, and dressed up for dinner at Wild Sage. We went to see a movie, and chose not to see the IMAX showing, but went instead to Hacksaw Ridge. A quality flick that you wouldn't really want to see in IMAX anyway. But the best thing about this movie was the theater. It had these huge leather recliners that reclined all the way down to where your toes had to sit slightly askew so you could even see the screen. We had the big platform row all to ourselves and you couldn't even see the other rows, so it felt a little like you were hanging out in your really amazing basement movie-screening room....well, times 10. I'm actually ruined for life!
Despite all the fun we had playing around town, we did actually manage to clear off most of our Christmas shopping list, which was the idea, really.
But next year, we are definitely headed back to that theater!
