Braces are coming off!!

The day finally arrived!!!

Such a gorgeous smile :)

Getting so.close.

Adventure with Joe

On our engagement anniversary we like to do a little adventuring...this is likely because our actual anniversary is in December. And adventuring in December looks quite different from an adventure in August.
This year we went to the lake and did a little jet skiing!
First, lunch at Bardenay.

I've only ever jet skied on Dworshak, and jet-skiing on the CDA lake on a busy Saturday is a whole different experience. But we had a blast.  Ahh, I miss that sun!!

Back to School Ball!

So pretty - first time in high school!

Day on the river.

A group of us took advantage of the kids being in school all day, hit the SPF, then floated down the river. Kelly made lunch and we all brought wine.  An epic day of sunshine and a sandy beach. Good times.

Early morning practices

Back to school

Headed to high school.

Ben's neatly laid out clothes for the first day.

First thing in the morning: XC.

Then we rushed back home to get pretty!

Um, no.

This happened to land on the same day as the total solar eclipse in Idaho...we were at about 94% total. Pretty unreal. Met Joe at home to watch.

Outfit for day 2, ready to roll.

Lentil Fest 3 on 3

Lentil Fest was an absolute blast this year! The guys had some good competition and played really well. They played the final team and barely lost after tying up all the way to the end. I love watching these guys play!

There is still one of Ben's library books up in those trees somewhere :(

The other kids took advantage of some of the other fun at Lentil Fest and tried out a green screen.

So funny!

Fun with the Jeep.

Oops. Again.

Cross country begins.

So. I got to coach high school cross country this year. I have to say, I had an absolute blast. I hope every season is as awesome as this one.
Here we are, just starting out.

Oops. This was my first week on the job. I have to say, calling in a tow truck was really the best way to introduce myself as the new super-competent coach. I think  they all gained an entirely new (kind of) respect for me.
I wish.
