Boxing Day!

December 26th is always the day that we hunker down at home and play with all our toys...and it usually includes a yummy Christmas dinner....so after we played a bit, the girls and I did some shopping and set to work!
The babies...

Football?...or is it basketball?

I love having capable help around!

Sara is my little decorator, and did ribbons on all the water glasses...

A very very messy pork chop fry!

Sara again, with the M & Ms flower...

Yum!

After dinner we did a little heads-up with our new phones....

...this kid was pretty good!
Such a fun relaxing day after a very busy and fun week!

Merry merry merry Christmas!!

Christmas was finally here!!

The First Gift of Christmas!

...and Sara got her doll!  Love this face!

These dolls are pretty amazing!  She was in heaven!!

Random shot of my nativity scene, a favorite Christmas gift.....

And iphones for the olders....so crazy!!  (I just got my very first little smartphone days before....)

Headed to the Casebolts for more gifts!!

A very happy boy!

....and a full couch!
Later we had Christmas dinner with the family...such a beautiful table, and good food!!

 What a very perfect day!

Christmas Eve!

Morning is the usual crazy unwrapping...it's slow and fun!

Cousin gifts first!

Brunch, yum!!

And this year, Kayte wrote a nativity play....so sweet!  She talked (and bribed!) everyone in to learning their part in a week's time....it was super-cute!

Henry, as baby Jesus with his frankincense and myrrh.  He had earlier eaten the gold.  He was Jesus, it was for him.  Technically.

Mary with the youngest baby Jesus....
We went home to rest and get geared up for round 2.  The Christmas Eve service was delightful, and absolutely one of my favorite parts of our three and four day celebration.
Later it was on to the Casebolts for Christmas Eve.  A reading of Luke, some talent scores from the grandkids, and the usual Newlywed game, where Joe and I finally finally finally reclaimed our title!

Ben helped out with the Christmas reading by being Gabriel...

A joy-filled evening to be sure!
Joe and I headed home to get the Christmas kids to bed, and then we stayed up late, just because we could!
